At Straps & Strides, every purchase represents a commitment to excellence. We take immense pride in the quality and provenance of each item we offer. In the rare instance that a purchase does not meet your expectations, we have established this policy to ensure a resolution that reflects the standard of service our clients deserve.

Please review this policy carefully before making a purchase. By completing a transaction at Straps & Strides, you acknowledge and accept the terms set out below.

 

IMPORTANT: 24-HOUR RETURN WINDOW

All return requests must be initiated within 24 hours of the original purchase. No returns or exchanges will be accepted after this period, without exception. Time of purchase is recorded on your official receipt.

 

1. OVERVIEW

Straps & Strides operates a strictly time-limited returns and exchange policy. Given the exclusive and high-value nature of our merchandise, we are only able to accept returns or process exchanges where the request is made within twenty-four (24) hours of the date and time of purchase, as evidenced by the original receipt or transaction record.

This policy applies to all purchases made at our Lagos boutique. For bespoke, personalised, or specially ordered items, different terms apply as outlined in Section 5.

 

2. ELIGIBILITY FOR RETURN OR EXCHANGE

2.1 Time Requirement

The 24-hour window is absolute. Returns and exchanges requested beyond 24 hours of purchase will not be processed under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Change of mind after the window has elapsed
  • Delayed discovery of an issue (unless constituting a manufacturing defect under Section 6)
  • Absence, travel, or inability to visit the boutique within the 24-hour period

 

2.2 Condition Requirements

To be eligible for a return or exchange, all items must meet the following conditions at the time of presentation:

  • Unworn / Unused: The item must not have been worn, used, altered, or washed
  • Original Packaging: All original packaging, dust bags, boxes, ribbons, and protective materials must be intact and returned
  • Tags & Labels: All original tags, authenticity cards, certificates, and labels must be attached and undisturbed
  • Original Receipt: A valid Straps & Strides receipt or proof of purchase is mandatory
  • Unaltered: Items must not have been altered, repaired, or modified in any way

 

2.3 Item Inspection

All returned items will be carefully inspected by our team upon presentation. Straps & Strides reserves the right to decline a return or exchange if the item does not meet the above conditions, shows signs of use or damage, or if the authenticity of the original sale cannot be verified.

 

3. RESOLUTION OPTIONS

Where a return is approved, Straps & Strides offers the following resolution options. Please note that cash refunds are not available under this policy.

 

  • Exchange: The item may be exchanged for another product of equal or greater value (with the difference payable by the client). Subject to availability at the time of exchange
  • Store Credit: A store credit note of equivalent value will be issued, valid for 90 days from the date of issue. Store credit may be used toward any future purchase at Straps & Strides and is non-transferable

 

Please Note: Straps & Strides does not offer cash refunds.

All approved resolutions will be in the form of an exchange or store credit note only. The form of resolution is at the discretion of Straps & Strides management.

5. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following categories are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable under any circumstances:

 

  • Fine Jewellery & Watches: Due to hygiene, security, and authentication considerations, all jewellery and timepieces are final sale
  • Bespoke & Custom Orders: Any item specially ordered, personalised, monogrammed, or made-to-measure is non-returnable
  • Sale & Discounted Items: All items purchased during promotional events, seasonal sales, or at a discounted price are final sale
  • Fragrance & Beauty Products: Perfumes, cosmetics, and personal care items cannot be returned once the seal has been broken
  • Undergarments & Swimwear: These items are non-returnable for hygiene reasons
  • Gift Cards & Store Credits: Once issued, these are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for cash

 

6. MANUFACTURING DEFECTS

Straps & Strides stands behind the quality of every item we carry. If you believe an item has a genuine manufacturing defect, please notify us within 24 hours of purchase. Claims made after this period will be governed by the manufacturer’s warranty, where applicable.

To make a defect claim, please:

  1. Bring the item, in its original packaging, to our boutique within 24 hours of purchase
  2. Present your original receipt or proof of purchase
  3. Speak with a Client Advisor who will assess the item and escalate to our management team if appropriate
  4. Management will determine the appropriate resolution, which may include exchange, store credit, or referral to the brand’s after-sales service

 

Straps & Strides reserves the right to assess all defect claims independently. Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or damage resulting from improper use will not be considered manufacturing defects.

 

7. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN OR EXCHANGE

To initiate a return or exchange, please visit our boutique in person within 24 hours of your purchase. We do not currently accept returns by post or courier.

Please bring the following:

  • The item(s) in original, unaltered condition with all tags, labels, and packaging
  • Your original Straps & Strides receipt or electronic proof of purchase
  • A valid form of identification

Our Client Advisors will guide you through the process with the discretion and care that defines the Straps & Strides experience. All returns are processed at the sole discretion of our management.

 

8. GIFTS & THIRD-PARTY PURCHASES

If you have received a Straps & Strides item as a gift and wish to exchange it, the 24-hour return window applies from the date of the original purchase, not the date of receipt. The original purchaser’s receipt will be required. We recommend that gift recipients be informed of this policy at the time of gifting.

 

9. AMENDMENTS TO THIS POLICY

Straps & Strides reserves the right to amend, update, or withdraw this Returns and Exchange Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting at our boutique or on our official website. Purchases made prior to an amendment are governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
